Chef Yes Chef (54 years and still Counting)

Autobiography by Ian McAndrew

I started writing this not long before we managed to sell the hotel and retire from hotel life and is a result of a lot of people, especially in the last few years, suggesting I ought to write a book about my time in hospitality. An idea I poo pooed for a long time but began it anyway and now it’s started I might as well try to finish it. Originally entitled ‘An Old Man at the Stove’ the title will not doubt change a few times over the coming months (or years) that finishing it may take.

My intention is to publish this on my web site a chapter or two at a time and see how it goes. If you do get around to reading it I sincerely hope you enjoy it. I’ve started off writing it pretty much in chronological order but that too may change as time goes on as I remember what happened and when.

I apologise now to any readers that think I have under played their part in my story or any part that I may have misremembered and of course to those that I have inadvertently left out, I am getting old and while I have never had a great memory time is also taking its toll on what little I do have. If you remember any part of what follows differently please let me know as I can always add and alter at anytime.
